Where to find an automatic radiator?
Hello, title says it all. I am looking for an automatic radiator for a 93 FD (Don't ask why I have an auto, received it as a present and am completely happy with it). I have looked all over ebay and have only found manual transmission ones. Does anyone know where to find one?

No they aren't. I ordered 2 radiators. The manual one does not have two slots where tubes on the automatic vehicle should go to. Ordered a second radiator that does have the slots, but the radiator is too large. I'm desperate now and am looking for any automatic radiator that can fit. Been two months since I got the car and haven't driven it once yet.

Thread is a couple years old but th links still seem to be good. RX7store's economy specifies it's god for manual or auto.

Already checked them. They didn't have it. The second site came up with a radiator, but it is meant for a manual. Think I'll just get a manual one now and get a separate transmission cooler to see if that will work. Thanks for the help though!

If it was ME, I'd just get the manual radiator. Connect the transmission to radiator lines together.
All auto FDs have a transmission cooler on the right side of the car - and it is identical in size to the stock oil cooler. If its big enough to cool the engine oil, cooling tranny fluid should be even easier.
If anything, running the lines through the radiator just introduces heat to the transmission fluid. And hey - if it bugs you that bad, you could always add an aftermarket auxilary transmission cooler.

Yes Mazdatrix has an automatic one, but my cousin ordered it first and tried to install it. Apparently it was 2" thicker than the stock radiator; The hood wouldn't close. He tried to move things around but it didn't help. I'm trying to keep the car as stock as possible. Thanks for the help though

Oh wow! Thanks for the heads-up! The OEM radiators was located beneath the last radiator, but there was no image, so I must have missed it earlier. I'll give them a call tomorrow to see if they have any in stock. Thank you!!!
