Where to find a 13b

Hello, I purchased an fc body and I want to 13b swap it. I know I should avoid an rx8 motor, so what would be a decent cost of a rx7 13b rew or a 12a (just the core of the motor) and I dont mind rebuilding a blown motor. And what would be a good guess on how much I'd spend for turbocharging (pushing 10-15 psi of boost) out of that build.

Thanks!

So when you say you want to 13b swap it, you realize they came stock with a 13b, right?

I'd suggest doing a little more research to find out exactly what you need. Depending on your year of car, you either will want and s4 (86-88), or s5 setup (89-91). This will make it not a "swap", but it should drop right back in with very little fussing.

If you're after the turbo2 drivetrain, it gets more complicated. You can find those occasionally but it will be more upfront cost. An REW "swap" will be much more involved, and there's some stickys and some build threads on how involved that becomes.

I purchased a 1988 turbo ii fc, where would I find a a turbo ii 13b. I cant find one that isnt less than around $5000, and if that is the regular cost, what 13b should I put in that would be cheaper and that isnt an msp.

One again I appreciate the help.

Welcome to the rising cost of everything. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but these cars aren't getting any cheaper, and the days of $1500 turbo drive trains are long gone. You can try shopping around, but I'm afraid the longer you wait, the more expensive all these things are going to get.

Good luck your search, I'd still stick with going with a turbo2 drive train, as it will be the simplest to install.

Welcome to owing an RX7!! You won't have to worry about back issues due to your wallet being too thick.
