Question wheel spoke/caliper clearance

So, I'm in the process of ordering some new wheels. BUT I have one problem. I need to know how much room I need for the calipers behind the spokes. The fronts I know protrode a bit from the hub face of the discs, but I don't have easy access to my car right now, and no room where it is to bend over and measure.

I tried searching in the main forums and on google in general, but to no avail!
So if anyone has their car easily accessible for measuring or even already knows how much room I need (and how much extra room I should make), then please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

What car? FC?

The data point you are you looking for is called offset if I understood your need correctly.

Sorry, I realized after posting I forgot to provide details.

It's a 1988 Turbo II. 4 Pot calipers up front, vented discs in the back.
What I need to know really is how much the calipers protrude beyond the hub face of the discs. This isn't the regular offset, but I guess you might call it an offset still.

Can't believe no one has run into this problem before?
My new rubber arrived yesterday and I haven't even ordered the wheels yet!

stock offset is 40mm on a 15 or 16 inch stock rim.
I don't know why you are asking about caliper clearance unless the wheels are designed Really Funky.

The wheels are custom, so I need to know how much space I should leave for protruding calipers without being able to fit another wheel between the calipers and spokes.
This has nothing to do with the normal wheel offset.

Useful in general, but not helpful in my case. Thanks though!

Try using the forum's search feature to search the Suspension, Tires and Brakes forum. You'll probably find that info there.

I tried searching before, and I did it again. Only new thing I discovered this time was that they call it Caliper Overhang. The actual dimensions were nowhere to be found. I might just pull my car out from where it's stored to measure it myself soon though. But if anyone has easy access or already know the dimensions, that'd be awesome!
