what should i look out for when buying an fc.
hi, im currently looking to buy an fc, and i am looking at one soon, what should i have on hand when i look at it? oil?, and what should i look at and consider before purchasing, ive done a good bit of reasearch, but id rather hear from somone with experince, thank you.

The engine will most probably need to be rebuilt (maybe not now) .. however you should factor that into your budget.
I would think the most important thing to consider would be the completeness and authenticity of the interior, exterior and engine bay. 1986 is now 35 years old and many of these parts will no longer be available.
And of course like any 35 year old car (rotary or not) .. you want to ensure there isn't any damage or rust to the frame and body panels.

- look for rust (drains (doors, trunk, sunroof, etc.), inner quarters, underside)
- look for evidence of a crash
- see how complete the engine bay is (missing air pump, charcoal canister, etc.)
- signs of bad wiring (aftermarket devices like radios, amps, fuel pump, alarms, etc.)
- engine smokes excessively
- check all cats and emissions equipment are there if you live in a place where you will have to comply with emissions
