what if...i decide to premix
what if...i decide to premix
I am curious, if I have a bad OMP, I believe I read in the forums, that it will burn out a particular circuit in my ECU. is this true? If so, how do I remedy this after replacing ECU and eliminate the MOP/OMP???
You can't eliminate an electric MOP without this: http://digitaltuning.com/index.php?p...age=1&ecu=S5NA or a full standalone EMS.
Yes, a bad MOP or wiring can burn up part of the ECU.

I appreciate the link, thanks. I believe this is what I will do but I still don't get a check engine light indicating pump is bad.
If ECU goes into limp in mode due to failure of OMP is there a common/descibable way it make ls the engine run? I see talk of all these premixers but no one mentions the performance that happens prior the decision to remove OMP!?

OK, I am figuring out how to use the site search in my favor. I searched limp mode and I'm beginning to believe that is exactly what I've got going on. Not 100% yet but definately no oil in OMP lines and quite certain that now my ECU is more than likely bad.
Oh, question for rotaryrocket or whomever may know, if this part of ECU is bad now, will adding the new software on that link repair existing ECU? Or will I need whole other ECU to put software in?
one usually sends their existing ecu to rtek, rtek then installs the chip, and then they test out your ecu to make sure its working.
