I want to have a reliable rx7 that makes good enough power to have fun but nothing to brag about.

I have my hands on a Pettit Unlimited Ecu. Was wondering if you guys knew if I could make 350 WHP with this ECU at least. with stock PSI.

I take it you have a pair of small beadlike things that have a tiny hole in them? If so, they are supposed to go in the line between the compressor elbow and the wastegate and precontrol actuators.

However, for 350 whp you'll need very solid boost control, and the stock wg/pc solenoids with restrictors are crap for that. Get an electronic or manual boost control.

The Pettit ECU isn't bad, but for 350hp I'd go PowerFC. You can do so much more with it for not a whole lot more money, plus you have no low speed/low power hesitation.

I don't know if you can get to 350 on knightsport twins and 12psi. (Stock is 10psi, but you can probably do 12psi with the Pettit). You should be able to get over 300whp. With a PFC you could add methanol injection and do some pretty impressive power without roasting your engine and turbos.

I've been running a Pettit Unlimited ecu for about a year ( including 3 track days) with no issues. I have just about the same mods as you, but my stock twins were upgraded by Pettit and no Knightsports, and I have a Blitz SMIC.

I've never dyno'd my car, but I CAN tell you that the Pettit keeps things running pretty rich, so I don't see 12psi being a problem.
I had to swap the ECU out for California smog purposes and after driving the car for a week or so with the stock, California ECU, my seat-of-the-pants dyno says I definitely gained something when I reinstalled the pettit.

My boost stays stock, 10-8-10, BTW . I'm terrified of blowing it up...again.

When you added the Pettit Ecu did you add the Orifices as well ?

Im a little confused as to what they actually do.

The orifices work with the stock wastegate and precontrol solenoids as a boost controller. It is not adjustable or adaptive, so once you put a few bolt-ons on the car you will either overboost or get irregular boost patterns. Either way you get to remove the orifice pills and replumb the wastegate and precontrol actuators for a better boost control system. The wg/pc actuators themselves work just fine.
