weber sidedrafters, a question

seems for some reason, whenever I drive my car in the rain (or it's just coincidence that it's only occurred at that time), my car will not drop down to it's appropriate idle. The RPMs will just stay at 2000-3000, wherever it was when I pressed the clutch to come to a stop.

In a day or two it goes away...

very odd, anyone else running a Weber sidedraft have the same issue?

i have no hypothesis on the rain at the moment, but have you checked the linkage for binding or the springs for adequate rebound?

I have, the linkage and springs both seemed fine, and the problem went away without me changing or adjusting anything.

Now that I have a different strut tower bar that rides in front of the alternator, I'm thinking about ditching my homemade throttle linkage set up and getting one of those nice top mount ones

ie: Top Mount Linkage Kit
PM3714

maybe that will eliminate whatever gremlin is plaguing my carb
