Question Unusual front end? Has anyone seen one like this before?

I'm on the lookout for a 2nd gen RX7 shell and came across this RX7 with a very unusual looking front end on it. I've tried googling it and can't find any other car like this one that does away with the retractable headlights. Has anybody seen one like it? It's very unique but i think i prefer the stock look more.

What front end is this?

It does look somewhat like a 1st gen 300z. Those tiny headlights make me think of a Geo Storm or early 4th gen Camaro.

I'd be interested in seeing the underside of the hood, and the nose around the headlight area.

Someone went through a lot of trouble to make the front end look stupid.
