thanks for accepting into the community!! i just bought a 79 and and i plan on drifting it. hopefully no one gives me crap for it. i picked up the car for $500 but it has $750 in back fees and to me its not worth paying the back fees to get it back on the road because its not in that great of shape cosmetically. so long story short i want to find a junk yard turbo on it and have some fun burning off tires!! My background is mostly v8's and some honda stuff. I'm a good fabricator and diagnosis guy. i have no problem building things. i plan on making my own header for the turbo and it will be fed by either a holly or i might just build a mega squirt system with junk yard components. i dont want to make a whole lot of power with this thing, just a little more than what it has. i was thinking of a turbo off a vw 1.8t. super plentiful in junk yards. any thoughts on this turbo? or am i waaaaay off? thanks for the replies!!!

Great idea! Look for a 2002 and up Vw 1.8T. They came with the K03s turbos. And if you can find an Audi TT turbo even better.
