ME UIM removal

so my 87 t2 sucks,point blank . im just trying to get to both primary and secondary injectors , ive removed the smic the tb and all the nuts a and throttle cables off the upper intake. i go to break the gasket between the manifolds but the uim will not let go . do i have to take the turbo off and the lower intake off as well or am i missin some hidden bolt?

Did you remove the brackets at the throttle body?

How about the middle bolt between the primary runners where the UIM bolts to the LIM?

so how am i supposed to get to that theres about 3/8s of an inch of clearance between the rail and the uim?

you cant get to a bolt to the uim cause the f rail is in the way . . .

remove the rail.

replacing the o rings and gromets on sec. injectors is cheap and preventitive maint.

nice datz , but my rail is under the uim so that to is un reachable which is why im removing the manifold in the first place

You're looking at the wrong bolt.

The bolt I pointed out is on the top of the upper intake manifold. There are no rails in the way.

its easy look at the intake runners and it is exactly in the middle , its an allen key , the only one. I'm not around my car at the moment , so no pics

There are no allen key bolts stock on the RX-7. Well, maybe the one on the BAC.

well then it must have been previously changed on mine , but either way its in the middle of the runners
