twins or single

just looking for some opinions. i got a fd and it has a single turbo setup. but it looks like total crap. small *** unknown turbo, shitty manifold and wierd *** wastegate.

now should i get stock parts and try to go back to something close to stock.

or should i keep running with a single turbo setup. ie standalone and fixing all the mess.

seems like i should just keep running with the single setup. next up would be a haltech. or locate stock twins and the rats nest to go back to stock.

i think it depends on what kind of quality the turbo, manifold and wastegate are. if they are cheap china parts then trad someone for the stock twins or just swap out the turbo for something more fitting and go from there with your build. i guess it also depends on what you want to do in the long run with your car. gl with the build.

Depends on what you want to do. As far as i know, twin would be better for autocross and single for drag. I want do a twin setup with a small and medium turbo. The small would boost up to 8 PSI then the medium would take over and boost to 22 PSI.

I agree with Breeze, a lot of it depends on the intended application. Also note that a lot of standalone systems can have difficulty handling sequential twin turbo setups the same way the stock ECU works.
