take your time to do some Research on JDM shops and what they sell If you plan to purchase an engine.
They will tell you what you want to hear to get a sale, but if the engine is bad,it is your loss.
The Best bet is to go directly to the Place and inspect the engine thoroughly. Most of these engines have been powerwashed to look good, and water gets inside them,They sit for God knows how long and then when you get it?..it's Toast!
I'm not trying to sway you from your swap,I just want you to Know what you are getting into ahead of time.
If you can find a Decent Rebuilt, then you would be better of instead of a JDM "plop in and go" Crap shoot.
Then again, you can always get that big lawn ornament and rebuild it.A lot of guys opt to go that route.
