Turbo master Cyl on NA brakes

Hey guys
I have an 86 base model. 4 lugger, no abs. Just picked it up a few weeks ago. Brake master is shot and I need to replace it. I'm looking to go to the 5 lug setup with the Turbo 4 pot calipers.
My question is, What I assume is ok, can I use the turbo brake master cyl with the NA calipers temporarily, or should I really just gun to do it all in 1 swoop. The turbo calipers require more oomph to get going obviously, so I wasnt sure if its going to fudge something up with the NA calipers or not. I know for 240's and stuff its not a problem, but I'm a noobie to this RX7 jazz so I dont wanna make any mistakes along the way hahaha. Thanks folks.

The 4 lug master actually works pretty good on the 5 lug system.I haven't noticed too much difference in stopping the different cars with the slightly different setups.I put the 5 lug system on my 86 and it has got a 350-ish HP setup.Stops fine.
Your proposal to use a TURBO master. It looks like the Parts manual says they are the Same. The BOOSTER however is different.
This would both be in Size from 4 to 5 lug. Also in Five lug to Turbo the pipe that is on the Master is in a different position to get vacuum. It is bent differently.
You should also know that there is a Check valve IN the hose on the Turbo system that is Needed or else your brake will get applied and receive Boost if this hose is not used.

I'd get a booster and master from something like a GXL or any sec gen that had 5 lug wheels.
Most of them had the 4 piston calipers and vented front and rear rotors,so the booster would be slightly bigger than that of the 4 lug car.
and since the GXL would be a N/A car the brakes would swap over no problem..as long as you use the new vented rotors with the new calipers. You can't use the old solid disc rotors on a 4 piston caliper or a rear vented caliper system.)
You can find out which cars came with the 'upgraded brakes' in the Frequently Asked Questions thread at the top of this section.

the mazda 929 booster and cylinder works too and might be easier to find in a juck yard than an FC booster and cylinder
