CO Tremec wc or t56?

Obviously bringing my thread count up (lol) but what seems to be the best tranny trends for an fc/ls swap for weight savings? Looking at ls2 stock 400hp with either t2 rear or a ford 8.8. Thank you for your opinions

Seek out norotors.com for answers to your swap. You'll get lots of pro/con for your question and it will ultimately be a matter if personal choice. For me, t56

Well I guess I'll give you my opinion. I have ran a 540hp LS1 and now the car runs a 660hp 429LS3. I recommend running the T-56. I also recommend running a decent aftermarket clutch with a billet steel flywheel.

The T2 diff is fine, but you have to build a custom drive shaft so you are better off running the ford 8.8. The T2 diffs are very expensive to build and gear ratios are limited. I have the ford 8.8 (tbird diff) with cobra 31 spline internals, DSS chromoly axles, Detroit truetrac, ford racing 3.73 gears. You can pm me if you have any other questions. I have build 2 of these LS swapped Rx7s as well as helped a friend with his.

Cheers,
Ryan

+1 on the T56. Most of the swapped Rx's around here run it.
