Ok I need a transmission for my 91 fc n/a. I was going to buy one but they said that they need to know if it has heavy duty suspension or standard suspension and that to find this out u have to look it up on the vin. If so where on the vin would this be and whats the difference since its just a transmission.

as far as i know, there are only 2 manual transmissions available: the Turbo (Type R) and non-turbo (Type M). for the most part, if you're asked the question, you should tell them you have the standard suspension.
