trans line leak...

I've been working on my tranny, (changed the front seal on it) and got it back togrther, my problem is that the trans cooler lines leak where they attach to the tranny. ok, the connection, not the line itself. (the connection uses a drilled out bolt that the fluid flows thru, just for clarification) I've tightened them as much as I can...I was wondering if I could use rubber washers for a better seal, or maybe copper?

those connections are called banjo bolts
torqueing them more won't help. First check for nicks or scratches and burnish them out till smooth. Then get new copper or aluminum sealing washers and reinstall. Do not use any kind of rubber, gasket, silicone.....
