trans and diff fluid change

year: 87
model: Turbo II
specifics: 5lug & 5spd

when doing a transmission oil change, does the drain, fill or inspection bolts use a crush washer like the oil pan? if so what size is it? if not what are you supposed to use to seal the drain bolt & other plugs?

on the diff its basically the same questions. crush washer size, if its used and if not what to use to seal the drain plugs.

for both the tranny and the rear, the answer is no for the fill holes.

for the drains, i honestly don't remember, but i don't think so. what i do remember well is not ever replacing a washer or using any sealant of any kind for any tranny or rear end i've drained. never had a leak.

well, the bolts are massive at 24mm heads. i presume an M18 or M20 is what would be used if anything

let me amend what i said, too.

so far, with my Gen II, i have not done the rear end yet - just the tranny. when i posted earlier, i was referring to my Gen I, which is kind of like my default mode.
