ok so i was driving to the local autozone to get a few cleaning things for my fd and i did my shopping in 15min came outside and i had no reverse at all. It felt like it locked itself out . SO i used a little force not much at all and still nothing so i pushed the car out of the parking spot and started to drive it . well all my shifts were easy as always except when i was about to shift into 5th and i got a grind like every fd owner talks about .but every time i go to put into 5th now i get a grind and no movement at all from that gear either. But i had all my gears going to autozone. i just cant fiqure this out . this is the second tranny ive put in this car .ive got a twin plate clutch , i changed the fluid and still nothing . Can somebody please point me in the right direction with this . Thank you

 

Pull the transmission and remove the tailhousing. Then remove the rear bearing plate to get in where 5th gear is. I'll bet something broke and got loose within the 5th/reverse housing and is blocking the shift mechanisms.

Ok. thanks david . i will take it to my buddys shop this weekend . i just find it funny i drove all the way to queens today from long island and got stuck in traffic for almost 2 hours and from 1st to 4th it was fine .this sucks
