Trailing coil timing off

Stock 87 turbo.... checked my timing and leading coil is firing right on the yellow mark, but my trailing 1 coil is firing way off, cant even see the timing mark. BUT the trailing 2 coil is firing right on the red mark. Would a failing trailing coil pack cause it to fire at the wrong time like this? I swapped ecu's and am getting the same results. Thanks for any input!

Not much info here, but it sounds like a bad connection somewhere ck out plug wire connection at coil look for any arking or burnt connection. A lot of after market spark plug wires are junk. The stock coils on a rx7 put out a lot of voltage. High voltage will find a weak spot and ark Sometimes on a dark night you can see a wire leaking when you look under the hood.
