too many gauges!

Alright,

So, I'll be getting my FD in the next few weeks, and the first thing I'm working on is gauges. Reliability is goal #1, and the best way to stay reliable is to know what's going on, i.e. gauges.

I've been looking through the posts, and looking at the recommended gauges and have come up with this so far;

Boost gauge
Wideband A/F
Coolant temp
Oil Temp
dual EGT gauge
Battery Voltage

and many more....

So, here's the question: What the heck do I do with all these gauges?

I've already got Dephi boost, coolant and oil temp gauges, and want to get some more, but I'm going for looks over power and really don't want the interior cluttered. I've got a full size stereo with no room for gauges in the center console, and don't know where else to put them.

So, how many gauges do you have? And where did you put them all?

Thanks!

The only Gauges you need to be Reliable on a Stock car are the following

Boost gauge
Coolant temp
Oil Pressure

I currently have 5 gauges plus the ones on my laptop if needed

3 Gauges on the A-Piller

Coolant Temp
Boost Pressure
Oil Pressure

2 Center Speaker Gauges

Wideband
Oil Temp

Laptop Gauges thru Datalog

Rotor 1 Pre-Turbo EGT
Rotor 2 Pre-Turbo EGT
Post-Turbo EGT
Exhuast Pre-Turbo Pressure
Fuel Pressure

I'm going to add another to that list: fuel pressure.

Many of those gauges you won't look at very often, so they can be tucked out of the way. I look at basically three gauges when I drive the car; boost/vac, AFR, tach. Thus the boost and AFR gauges are on the A pillar, tach in the stock cluster, and then other gauges are off in a pod above the idiot light cluster.

Depending on what EMS you are going to run, a lot of those gauges can be eliminated and just logged by the EMS.

I've got Power FC. Still learning about it, but hopefully it will eliminate a few superfluous gauges.
