Tiverton RI need trustworthy mechanic
Hello: I have a 1985 GS. It started to stall after taking it to work last year, and then sat in the garage for the winter. Since then, it starts cold and runs, but as soon as it warms up and the choke pops in, it stalls. Even cold it doesn't drive right....hesitates in a BIG way, then seems to 'catch' and take off. Nearby mechanic thinks it's the carburetor and needs to be taken apart and cleaned but doesn't have the time. I've sprayed cleaner a few times but to no avail. Any suggestions for a good person to take it to would be appreciated!

I'd suggest posting a thread in your Regional section of this forum or looking at who other use near you.
Just spraying Carb cleaner actually does very little to the fuel delivery system and that is what needs to be addressed. It is the INTERNAL parts of the carb that need attention not just the parts that can be seen or hit with a cleaner.
