This was done with Sumitomo HTR 200s, which go for about 50 bucks each. Great tire for the money! You can go with the 205/60/13 and they will fit fine (I've used 215s without problems on my 85). And yeah, www.tirerack.com is about the best place to look for them.

that vid is really convincing! love it.
i use to run 205s, and they worked fine. but i think i'll stay with the stock size,

i have a set of 15x7 aftermarket rims with 205's(bfgoodrich gforce r1 slicks) and without wheel spacers they rub my front springs. but yet 205's on stock rims work without spacers?

it's all about the offset(backspacing) of the wheels.

That's a great video of the gymkana. I wonder if they make those tires available for the 15x6 on the fc. Ideas?

check them out, www.tirerack.com. the 205/60 15 tire will work just fine on the 15x6 wheel. i'm currently running the sumitomo htr 200 in a 205/60 13. great tread life.

I figured about a 4 mph difference at 60 mph. So if I wanted to cruise at 60, I put the speedo at 65 or so. It also lowers the effective gearing of the car, so it tends to feel just a bit peppier. Gas mileage may suffer ever so slightly, but if I were worried about mileage I wouldn't drive a 7, right?

How would you say they do on a track for some beginner type drifting?

I put a set of the Sumitomo on one of my street cars, and I am very happy with them. Very good performance for a low price. Held up well a very high speed run, no chunking.

My only complaint about the tire is that when I let it sit overnight, they flatspot. The first mile is pretty lumpy, then they smooth out as they warm up in a couple of miles.

I would just use Tire Rack. They have a nice selection and I have had good experiences with them.

Are you using low air presure? Or is it in the tires nature? Sorry that's a dumb question.

Not low pressure causing the flat spot, I keep these tires inflated to spec. It is only a complaint for the first mile or so. At these prices, I would buy these tires again.

I am on my 4th set of these tires, but have not encountered this problem. Maybe that is due to differences in climate, or something...

Difference in climate was also one of my thoughts.

What application are you using the tires for that your on a 4th set and how long have they lasted you?

I go through a set every 1 1/4 years or so. This is my daily driver/weekend autocross car. If I was simply daily driving, I imagine a set would last me a good 3 years or so. Autocross is very hard on tires.

Oh wow. I think that's still a desent amount of time for tires that get pounded to last. Good deal. These tires sound better and better everytime some one talks about them. At that price it sounds like you beat those tires.

Yes, I am very hard on my tires. Even daily driving, I have quite a few very nice turns to keep me entertained.

In autocross, you almost always end up wearing out the outside edge of the front tires. Some of my past sets were replaced due to this, rather than actually wearing the tread down. Most of them still had decent tread even though they were worn down to the cords on the outer edge. But as my driving skills improve I am finding that my tires are lasting a lot longer.
