OK ; I've done A shifter rebuild ; Tranny oil change ;One side stuck Caliper - Right Rear ! One side stuck; Left rear E Brake !! All fixy Fixed !! Now a { friend } gave me some 225-50R -15 Tires .. Thanks, I think !! On my 1988 vert. using the Std. wheels, it came with ;Will they fit and go aroundy round , without rubbing when turning and over bumps ?? PS I looked at some Forums and saw the beautiful chart for 16" and up !! Yes I hope this post is OK If not, I'm sure some Higher Being will let me know...
Think you've got this posted in the wrong section, friend. Might want to ask a mod to move it for you.
Tire-size recommendations are never going to be universal; how worn-out your suspension is, how heavy you/the car is, etc. will cause variations where one person might say it works and another doesn't.
I'd err on the side of caution, too much clearance is much better than too little... you don't want to have a tire blowout or destroy a fender well.
