tires, tires, tires. . .
Ok, I'm a noob when it comes to tires, wheels and suspension. right now meshies and don't even know what exact size they are
. so I was hopping some one here could tell me what size rims are they and what would be a good tire set up to run on them. right now I have stock suspension, but I would like to up grade later on also would like to do a 1" or 1.5" drop.

there is, but the tires that were slapped on are all missed matched and all different thread life on them, the dude that I bought it off of slapped them on right before I bought it, that's why im so
Some of those numbers will still mean something to us. Give us some of the numbers, for instance 195/70/14 or something like that. Sumitomo HTR 200 are a very nice tire, and dirt cheap.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes....odel=Ecsta+AST
I got my 195/50 for $40 now they've gone up a few bucks! then i had americas tire price match so i didnt have to deal with shipping online. all handled in one company and includes all the same warranties plus theyre close by if i ever have any issues.
so far these tires grip pretty decent

205/50ZR15 Hankook Ventus R-S2 or 205/50R15 Kumho Ecsta AST
are the Hankook's really worth the extra money? these prices are from tirerack.com which seems to be the only place where they carry the R-S2's
205/50ZR15 Hankook Ventus R-S2
each$94.00 set$376.00
205/50R15 Kumho Ecsta AST
each$56.00 set$224.00

Something to keep in mind when it comes to purchases like this is; 'you get what you pay for.'
I wouldn't recommend $200 Michelin Pilot's to somebody with an FB that's been rolling around on mismatched tires this whole time, but I also wouldn't recommend a set of bias ply trailer tires just because they're cheap (no offense to anyone or any brand mentioned intended).
Remember that your tires are literally where the rubber meets the road, and brakes, suspension mods, and even engine output will be directly impacted by the quality of the tires that you put on there. Cheaper priced tires usually have trade-offs that result in the manufacturer able to offer them at a low price - like short tread wear (a # on the side, up to 800), and traction in wet or dry conditions. You may end up paying less out of pocket right now, but have to replace those tires in a year or so if they wear thin, develop bulges, or blow-out. Spend a little more, buy some additional quality, and you'll likely be happier in the long run. Especially if this is a DD or you need that extra reliability.
Quality is the ultimate economy.

^^ I know this, I have a crotch rocket and tires on a bike literally are your life, but from what I was reading about the hankook's they're damn near track tires, I just need something that I can DD on, but at the same time not have to worry if I decide to hit the twisties.

The Hankooks are really a road tire with technology pulled from their racing tires. They are designed to be grippy as hell in the dry while still keeping the *** end behind the front in the rain. Not a bad price and they have very good reviews. I'm saving up right now for a set.

I'm running 215/50R13 on stock X's. Speedo is a little off thou.
Here's my 2 cents worth - I've fitted Falken ZIEX 912 - specs looks really good - but haven't actually tried them as car isn't road ready.but then road surfaces are different and here in the UK I found AVON the bestest but no longer made - re handling/wear etc- I'm hoping the Falkens reproduce this but then I shan't be hard driving as I was 10 years ago ! my wheel size is 205/60 /14
In a recent tire test that Grassroots motorsports did, the Falken 912's won the test. They tested for cheap relatively long lasting tires that had very good "stick". They are readily availiable and like the test parameters state; cheap. I've got them on my DD subaru and I'm quite happy with them. Just my 2 cents.

the ASTs? if so let me know how you like them. i am quite happy with mines. although i havent pushed them that hard yet they have been performing quite nicely compared to my previous stock size bridgestone potenzas re910 which were great tires also. the 195/50 kumhos ecstas i have now have a lot less squeal and more grip but of course because of the wider width and lower aspect ratio
