You need to give some vehicle info. Just saying 13B doesn't tell us much. 1st gen? 2nd gen? 3rd gen? NA? turbo? Ticking under load could be pinging/detonation, which is very very bad. You could be looking at a major fuel delivery problem, or improper timing. I'd get a timing light on there and check the CAS position to start.

With the first mark on the main pulley lined up with the pin on the front over, the CAS should be lined up like in this picture.

My 12a started ticking loudle a couple of years ago, but only when the secondaries opened up. She tossed an apex seal about a month later. The theory is that I was hearing combustion gasses slipping past a cracked apex or side seal (probably apex, since that was what eventually failed).

If this happens to be a 1st gen car, with a real distributor on it, then check the position of the cap. Sometimes they can get misaligned and the rotor will hit the contacts on the cap.

Good luck.
