SC throttle cable

hey yall,

i have a question about a problem i have with my new 72 rx3 i have webber carbs on it. well i took it to the dragg last night and did a few test runs about 15sec's in the 1/4th. to me not that bad time for a "stock car".

anyway my last pass i took off fine, and when i let off the gas the want to stick.. i almost crashed it last night. it goes to the floor fine just when you go to the floor it sticks but half way it runs fine.

Im thinking the car is a 72 so it has a right to stick lol.... but can i take the cable apart and lub it or can i use a rx7 cable? is there any cables i can use?

check all linkages and make sure there's no binding. also make sure the return spring didn't break. cable from an sa/fb will probably work. seems like i used one on my 808 yrs ago when converting it over to rotary.
