Are there any options other than replacement?

Front Iron:

I've read a little about using JB weld... sounds like an awful idea.

What about welding? Anyone have success preheat welding in a new piece and grinding it down? Would I ruin the iron that way? I think I've found one for sale and will probably go that route, but it's still a curiosity!

As much corrosion/rust as there is in the passages, even if welding were possible, it would probably just fail somewhere else. It's junk.
