Is there an aftermarket intercooler for the 12a

Ive been looking for a little while and have been having trouble finding a good aftermarket intercooler for the 12a. Are the 13b intercoolers compatible with the 12a or am i completely missing something?
This is my first rotary and my old intercooler and oil cooler are trashed. What exactaly do i need to replace the cooling system? Sorry if this confusing its 3am and im very tired.

welcome to the board.

what exactly do you have, and what are the issues you are having?

to answer your actual question, it's a yes and no situation. yes, there are aftermarket intercoolers, but no, there is no bolt-on replacements. i'm sure you could probably adapt a 13B intercooler, but the main qustion would be: why? just find an intercooler that fits the space you have, and can provide the heat exhcahnge that you need, then get the needed piping and someone that can put it together for you.

oil coolers are available. it's really your choice as to how you want to address it.

as for the cooling system problem you mentioned, what exactly are you experiencing?

SaveTheSa, just so we are clear, you are aware that the 12A Turbo did NOT have an intercooler from the factory, correct? Here is a picture of it, courtesy of Flickr:

See the Orange "Turbo" pipe? Straight shot from the turbo to the Throttle Body. After looking through your past posts and not seeing any pictures, it's kind of difficult to help you sort this out. As for an Oil Cooler, the GSL-SE or FC style ones seem to be the go-to upgrade, depending on space for appropriate fittings.

If you decide to use an after market oil cooler, get one that is properly size with -10AN fittings and also get an external oil thermostat. Earl's (Holley) makes a good one.
