Tachometer (RPM gauge) only work for 2 min

Hi.

On my S4 with S5 turbo engine, the tachometer stops working after a minute after i start the car, and falls to 0 RPM.

What can cause this, bad connetion somewhere in the wire jungle?

Your car has a dizzy, correct?

Check the trailing ignitor on the dizzy. They do fail, from time to time.

How do i check it?

Messure it with an ohm meter or multi meter, or visually inspect it to see if its broken?

See the testing procedures in the 1st gen RX-7 FSM (available as a download from the FAQ). You will need a meter and a test light.
