Tach Repair.

It is time for me to try to repair the Tach in my '93 manual touring model. It began to quit working after the car had been running for a while. Now it does not work at all.
Can any one provide some guidance as to how I could repair the tach myself, or if it is not possible to preform the repair at home, can advise where it could be sent for repair?
Thanks much,

John H.

welcome to the board.

if you are interested in doing it yourself, you will need to get a FSM. you can download one from Foxed.ca

based on the 2 generations that came before the FD, you'll probably want to start taking a closer look at the trailing ignition. however, i defer to one of the FD guys - maybe SgtBlue??? - because i don't have an FD.

My tach also keeps working and malfunctioning. would it be due to a loose ground?
