If you are talking about the front T2 diff mount breaking I have a solution. My '88 FC convertible has a L33 5.3 L engine with mods and a T56 trans, lots of torque. The stock front rubber diff mount broke and I really didn't want to have to drop the rear subframe to weld stuff up. With the broken front mount the diff nose would go up and hit (bang on) the bottom side of the floorpan. I cut out a section of truck tire tread that had been laying on the side of the road and found it's way to my driveway, contoured it to fit between the diff and the stock snubber and cross brace so it was resting against a lot of area on the bottom side of the car. First I pried the diff nose down to create more clearance so it would be a tight fit. Cut the piece to fit, contoured it by cutting the rubber down where it was too thick, clamped it in place with a couple long hose clamps around the nose of the diff, and was done in about 30 minutes total time, about $4 for the long hose clamps, truck tire tread was free and cleaned up the highway. Car tire would not work as well due to steel belting, truck tire tread cuts with box cutter.

It looks really Ghetto, but of course nobody sees it, works great, no more problem, car launches fine, no tire hop.

Bumpstart had a thing he did on a Diff mount.
there is also a vendor making a prototype right now,but not completed.
I just replaced the whole rear in my car and I am "burnin midnight oil" with an idea.
If you wrap the nose of the diff with a clamp of some sort, you can attach it through the drain hole at the bottom of the Subframe.
I wish I could show you,but I suck at design stuff!

There is a writeup on norotors somehwere on welding a bar onto the diff bolt on mount and another onto the subframe and another onto the diff mount and bolting them together with one hole big enough to allow some freeplay, I'll see if I can look it up later. If it works for V8's it'll work for rotaries.

Did you buy the competition diff mount or the stock one? I'm not sure how i feel about the truck tire idea, that seems a little sketchy haha what about the diff mount is broken, did you drop the subframe to see Dd the rubber break loose from the metal or did something just come unbolted? I'd spend the 300 on a mount unless you can do what ncaudio said.

This sounds like you made something similar to a pinion snubber.
