Ongoing issue. spark, compression, fuel = no start

I have an 86 rx7 n/a and i bought it last week. When i bought it it was running rough found out the top coil module died. Replaced that and ran great. Then two days later i pull it out of the garage and it dies and hasnt started sense. It has great spark new plugs has a half a tank of gas fuel pump kicks on. With the fuel pump unplugged i tried to start it with starter fluid and nothing happened just cranks freely. I tried a noid light and its not blinking but if i plug the fuel pump in it floods. It wont even stutter now anx ran great yesterday. I think the ecu might be fried its all corroded and looks like water got i it. Any body have any other ideas i tried pulling the plugs cleanes them all up etc

Might want to remove the lower plugs and crank the engine over w/either of the INJ fuses pulled as this will prevent both fuel being injected and spark from occuring. If there is excess fuel in the rotor housings then it should come out of the plug holes. After doing this try just a second or two at most of starter fluid into the air intake and w/the fuse(s) back in place and the fuel pump disconnected and the plugs installed try to start the car. And you might have leaky injectors causing a flooding situation when the engine is not running. The noid light only works on the primary injectors during starting since they are the only ones that work in this situation (secondaries are for above 3800 rpm and load on the engine so they do not activate during start or idling). Lastly, the primary injectors are hidden under the upper manifold while the secondaries are on top of this manifold.

you might also want to try a shot of oil in each rotor before trying to try building up the compression a bit after doing the things Satch suggests . Gerald m.

If you have spark, fuel and compression, then I'd look at timing for an issue. A corroded ECU doesn't sound good either.

Okay so i went to the junkyard today that was somewhat local to me(1hr away!), and pulled the factory intake piping and a new air flow meter and tried that. Now if the fuel pump is unplugged it'll try to start than die from no fuel, but will not start or even try to start with the fuel pump plugged in. I'm ungodly tired of pulling the plugs out of this thing but it looks to me that maybe the primary injectors are stuck open, is that a possibility that both do that at the same time?

You need to use the starter fluid as suggested along w/the other suggestions to make sure the housings are free of gasoline. And adding the oil as suggested is also a good idea because if the housings are flooded then it washes away all the oil which prevents the necessary compression from being created. Also, the procedure suggested should be done two times to thoroughly clear the housings of fuel followed by an attempt to start the car normally.

And if the plugs are wet that's not a good recipe to starting the car as they must be dry.
