I bought a 87 fc, and there is a cut out for a sun roof, but it is solid piece of the body, is the sunroof filled in or what?

nathan, I see no one answered your question. If you haven't already found the answer, it's a metal sunroof. Mazda did a lot of sunroofs using body panels instead of glass. I think it was a good idea, some may disagree...

 

Im sure that if you really wanted to there are kits out there to replace it with glass, but it will heat up ur car.

 

That's one reason I prefer the body panel over glass, Heat. Last summer, my mx3's interior temp exceeded 160. I bet that would've been higher if my sunroof was glass.
