I've been looking into some options for lowering my FC and improving my ride quality. Would KYB AGX/Tokico Illumina struts with lowering springs/coilover kit or ISR/ISIS HR Pro coilovers be better suited for a daily driver?

 

Coilovers and daily driver are not 2 things to be tossed together.Unless you mate the coilover shock with some forgivable springs.
I tried coilovers on multiple cars and since the cars were mostly daily drivers I soon found out that I would need a Chiropractor if I wanted to continue using them!..Jarring/hard ride on uneven city streets.
I have put on KYB-AGX and stock springs..and another set with lowering springs.City driving is honestly real good and doesn't leave your teeth chewing your hair!

 

Go with coils! Mine as well soend the extra noney on something that will last and is fully adjustable! I recently bought a set of Stance coil overs!

 

Thank you for your input. But would a coilover conversion kit also perform as well if I wanted adjustability of ride height? Or would it just make more sense to get complete coilovers at that point?

 

Well coilovers give you the option to have the height adjustable,while the Kyb-agx's would not.They also give you the option of adjusting the front angle.
If you want LO then go with coilovers.If you want hard ride,go Coilovers..
My car (NOW..) sits low enough with what I have in it(see build).
Streets are not exactly made flat so any height advantage,even stock,is a plus when you hit stuff like speed bumps,pot holes etc.
You don't find that stuff on a track,so Coilovers are great and give you more control on the Track.

Cost wise..just about the same really for a set of NEW Kyb's as compared to a set of USED coilovers.(ya the stuff has gone up in price..dammit!)
Coilover conversion requires you to take the bottom perch off and all that work on a stock spring is nuts,just to put some springs on that will lower the car and make it scrape the bottom.
It may look good lowered,but I find that even the right set of wheels and tires can make up for any stupid looks that the car may have being a little high or having wheel well space.
I was going to do the coilover conversion and Still to this day have the box of stuff sitting here to do it.

 

So I guess FDs can pretty harsh with coilovers... I have KYBs in my other car and feels good enough without feeling like things are falling apart...
