Hey everyone, I see that you guys all have already talked about this problem, but I have this 1985 RX-7 SE now there’s couple of stuff.
I’ve been having vibrations on my car before. Now I used to have them after 50 mph and above but I installed spacers all the way around yesterday. (1” Spacers) then the problem was a lot more worse. It started to make the handle go left to right worse. I went back to the shop and took the wheels out and notice a play in bearings. So I took the bearings in the front out and I cleaned it properly and then re greased it. Put it back and then checked it again just to make sure that it doesn’t get too tight.
The problem got a lot less but it was still there.
So I ordered the new bearings on both the side. I’m gonna change bearings front and back and inside and outside. But I’m thinking that it’s not just baring. I just got the BBS rims and I balance them properly and the shake got a little lesser but very little. So the shake is still there. I checked the rear sides I think I need to tight them up too. My shocks are although completely busted, rusted and very old it could’ve be the reason.

Sounds like bad wheel bearings. Putting spacers on the car causes a lot of bending load on the wheel bearing, making the situation worse. If you have a bad wheel bearing, you need to replace it. Re-greasing it won't repair it.

If you still have issues after replacing the wheel bearing, try to track down any bad bushings. Any busted bushing in the front suspension can cause this too.

 

Hey, I Figured the issue, the spacers or anything wasn’t the issue. The new wheels when they got balanced they were balanced statically. I asked my employee and he said with in his experience the best balancing is with the static patch in the middle.
I still wanted to balance it from both in an out with the sticky weights so I took the old weights off and did the balancing with the sticky weight inside and outside even tho the rims were asking a lot of weight but once I was done and installed the wheels back? the problem just disappeared!!!!
it was a big surprise. I did the alignment again and the car drives perfect now!
