start up dies right away and tps...

Okay its been starting up fine right away but been dying right after I start it. Its also been sputtering so got a new tps (other one was bad) and tried to set it but I tightened it all the way till I couldn't its like at 1.100 runs a little better but I assume its cause I messed with the idle screw for my idle.. so maybe if I find a middle for both should be fine?

Sounds like a vacuum leak, fuel injectors arent opening, or fuel filter/fuel pump clogged.

Include the year and model of your car. Seems like a 2nd gen, but need confirmation. Your post is not very informative, so at this point there are too many possibilities. Was there any recent work done to the car other than the TPS? Have you checked for vacuum leaks? How long does it run for before turning off? Is the Air Flow Meter plugged in?

okk well something interesting just happend... so i was adjusting the tps sensor and it wouldnt hold the position like the screw kept slipping... and in the back there was this piece that was suppose to hold it in it looks like... it was broken...so ya cant adjust the tps if the screw isnt holding the position.. besides the screw is extremely stripped.. so i said ok thats one more problem. so i wanted to see how it would run without the tps and ran ok.. idle was all over the place but it still sputtered a little.. now was it because i didnt have it plugged in or because of an injector/ vacuum problem.. btw where can i get another tps screw.... plz help!
