sputter question
sputter question
my car has a hesitation/sputter when im driving around 4k. what would cause this to happen? it feels like it has fuel cut for a brief second! the only mods i have is emissions removed, and full exhaust and a cone filter. idk if any of that would cause it to happen.
3800 RPM hesitation. It happens when the primary & secondary fuel injectors don't transition properly. You should feel it under partial throttle acceleration, but it'll go away at WOT.
If you've got an '86, then the fix will likely be simply adding another ground to the pressure sensor. Splice in an extra wire and bolt it to the body. This was in one of Mazda's technical service bulletins.
