Spark Plug help

Hi guys, Ive recently purchased an 86' FC Turbo with a series 5 jap spec engine/ gearbox swap. Ive serviced all the important things but I am really struggling to get the spark plugs out, they seem to be flush with the engine block or at least the semi circle that surrounds the spark plug hole. Anyone had a similar problem or have any suggestions? Id greatly appreciate any help

sounds like someone really torqued them in there. the threads inside could be deformed or stripped. probably not a good idea to take them out incase of that. probably best to take it to someone more experienced. or if you dont care too much, try penetrating fluid

Successfully got the plugs out using long nosed pliers of all things. The problem was the NGK B9EGV plugs it was running, when fully tightened, sat past the lip of the engine block. Ive replaced them with BUR9EQ's and their longer threads have eliminated the problem.

ya those B9EGV's bury themselves in good.
If you encounter that again you can grind a 13/16th deep socket on the edges(to make the walls thinner) and it will give you enough grip to get in and on them to get them out
BUR9EQ or BUR9EQP should be ok now.
