for example, a friend put a 1jz in his FC, with a th350 tranny, that's an old chevy tranny for you people that don't know, he did it, but it wasn't easy or cheap.
The rb25det isnt a bad idea... they seem more readily available than the rb26 and they are cheaper. I'm pretty sure i've read about the r34 skylines coming with the rb26dett and rwd but you might be hard pressed to find one. What everyone is saying about the handling is true... you're going to have a hard time keeping an inline 6 behind the front wheels. I say go for it tho... skyline motors are awesome and it will be fast as hell if nothing else

The straight 6 swaps are notorious for bumpsteer, the RB engines aren't bad but if you're going to pay the jdm tax you might as well go for something with a higher volume of sales (SR20). By the time you finish your project you'll probably have less power and spent more than if you'd done an lsx swap or big single.

why rb20? go rb25 or 1jz they are alot more reliable engines, and a stock 1jz bottom end can handle 600 hp. (although it all depends on how good you tune it.)

Why not a VG30DETT? They can make some power too, and they sound great to boot.
