GSL-SE Radiator Drain Plug

Hello All,

I am having an issue with my 1985 GSL-SE. It has been leaking a little coolant from the bottom of the radiator. It is coming from a small plastic drain plug in the bottom of the radiator. I tried tightening the plug by hand but it broke off in my hand. Does anyone know a source for this plug? Or is it a standard thread pitch that I can just buy a bolt and thread it in there?

Thanks,
Andrew

Andrew,

Any Auto Parts store should be able to supply you with a replacement. No don't try putting a bolt in it. :-)

Ok so my autoparts stores are failing me. I went the local NAPA and they have no listing. The looked in a parts book that had a listing for a Mazda drain plug, that had a similar look but it is too small for the radiator. Does anyone have a part number or a search suggestion I can use to find this part?

napa has it, i used to work at one and when mine was leaking i just matched it up with one we had in the hanging packages. This was a few years ago so size/part number eludes me right now.
