Searching for Apexi Power FC for RHD 93 fd3s

flame suit on.

I read somewhere that when buying an Apexi Power FC, i got to be wary of the ecu bit.
RHD models uses 8-bit ECU for my year is what I'm told but idk.

My concern is buying a used set. If i decide to go that route, how will I know if the Apexi Power FC is compatible with mine? serial number? ask for bit?
I would buy brand new if I exhausted my options.

All 93-95 FD PFCs are the same. You can’t use 96-2002

Is there a serial number that can specify the difference between the versions between 93-95 and 96-2002?

Just check the table of contents for "which PFC"-----> http://www.banzai-racing.com/store_i...owerFC_FAQ.pdf
Personally I recommend just biting the bullet and buying new. You know what your getting. And make sure it comes with the newer OLED commander. The older style commander is really hard to read in bright light. Trust me, if you buy a used PFC that comes with the old commander, you'll end up spending another $300 on the OLED version.

There's also a previous post covering this topic here: https://www.rx7club.com/power-fc-for...please-967206/

Second for buying new. My personal opinion is to buy new when it comes to electronics if at all possible.

There are 2 versions of the pfc that you need to be concerned about. Pay no mind to the serial numbers. They're irrelevant. What you want to look at is the plug type: square(white plug) or rectangle(yellow plug). 93-95 is rectangle and 96+ is square. That is the sole determining factor as to which pfc to buy. Don't get caught up in all that extra stuff. There's nothing wrong with a used pfc. It's very very rare that they go bad or fail. Extremely rare. A new pfc and commander is so expensive you'd be better off buying a different ecu. They're so cheap used that it makes more sense to get one used.
