Salvaging usable parts from my 1983 RX-7
Hello everyone,
I'm so glad to be part of the forum. I'm not really well-versed in all things RX-7 related. However, I have a 1983 Mazda RX-7 that is in really terrible condition with its exterior and interior, but the under-hood mechanics are all original appear pretty much unscathed. I believe there are salvageable parts that I could sell from the car before it disintegrates. I live in Wilmington, North Carolina and I wanted to know if anyone has knowledge or ideas of how might be able to connect with a 1st generation mechanic who lives in my area, who might be able to extract the usable parts from the car, so I can put them in protective storage until a suitable buyer comes along? I would hate to lose anymore of the car to the elements.
Thanks
Frederick

Welcome to the forum Frederick! You will want to create a thread in the regional section that corresponds with your location. Guys there would be willing to help.
On the flip side, parting out a car yourself will teach you so much abut the car. Knowing how the car comes apart will build confidence in future repairs. Just something to think about.
