S8 Onboard Diagnostics help

Hi does anybody know if you can see the fault codes without usin a OBD scaner (using a LED test light instead) on a series 8.

Also are the fault codes on a S8 the same as S6 S7.

Is the S8 ODB?

Have you checked the FSM?

i am not sure exactly what it is, dont think it is OBD2 any way.

the only manual i have is for a '94 model, i have not found any series 8 manuals.
you dont know of a link to one.

1996+ cars are OBD II , everything else is OBD I
