S5 long block into an S4 roller
I have a project planned. I will be gutting the interior. I have a 1988 N/A vert. The wiring under the dash is all screwed up. I was wondering if I gut everything out. Just the shell remaining. Will I be able to use a T2 s5 long block with out having to change the front cover and intake manifold. I will be using s5 ecu, s5 wiring harness, s5 dash and wiring. I understand this has been asked way to many times, but I am hoping to get specific and clear answers to what I am biulding and I hope I gave as much information as I can.

Yes, if you use ALL S5 wiring and electronics. Emissions harness, engine harness, front harness, cluster harness, rear harness, and maybe even the door harnesses. If you leave any S4 wiring, you'll have to spend a lot of time with both wiring diagrams figuring out how to adapt it. I know one potential pitfall is getting the convertible top switch to work in this kind of swap.

Like you said, the information is out there. It sounds like you are asking everyone to find the information for you which is probably not going to happen. You would be much better off just getting the s4 swap but do what you want.

Thank you for your help. I am going to have a S5 doner car for this project. I have done my research and just needed specific answers. I am not going to keep any s4 wiring, or just use the S5 block which I have only found answers for those kind of swaps. Thank you for your help.
