CA S5 Front vs. Rear Rotor Housing - ACV holes

So I rebuilt my first rotary, Non Turbo S5, and was so proud....
Then I looked down double checking and somehow but the R Housing to the pulley and the F Housing to the Flywheel - I switched them despite cleaning laying out all parts the night before somehow*.

So just to confirm on S5 non-turbo...?

The Front rotor housing in the triangular hole (exhaust side) facing the intermediate housing has inside it 2 holes: one leading to underneath the exhaust diffuser and the other leading directly out of the two symmetric holes facing the exhaust manifold.

The rear rotor housing has the same feature on the side facing the intermediate housing as well.

Symbolically, the number of holes in the Rotor Housing ACV ports:

Flywheel----------->Front Pulley
{RI} 1 |R| 2 {IM} 2 |F| 1 {FI}

RI _ Rear Iron
IM _ Intermediate Iron
FI _ Front Iron

I'll upload photos later.

*To make excuses, my Rear housing after paint looks somewhat ambiguous.

Wooo! super late on my part, crazy times recently.

Yeah, I was all on those threads at the time. None of them had the pics, and most referred to S4's w/ egr ports on the exhaust manifold. Besides, I was redo-ing it regardless.

Being that S5 manifolds block both holes and no info direct was available, I posted (may as well make it easier for new members to stop asking add-on questions yah?). So now, this post is to supplement another thread and provide pictures where the links are now broken.

Anyway, pics are of the rear housing with the holes as describe by Hailers in Need Photos Taken Of Rotor Housings. Pay close attention to his comment in about the 89-91 vs 86-88. Note also that there are two holes instead of one on the Intermediate side of the rear housing. The same is true for the front housing.

So if you or someone else rebuild the motor with the front and rear switched, know that there is a difference and that it is likely not passable to leave them switched in S5's even though there is no egr ports on the exhaust.
