It depends mostly what youre looking out of the car. The RX8 is much more civilized and meant for daily family man type of driving. The rx7 is more of a weekend warrior. Though that doesnt mean you cant DD it.

I have owned two thus far, and I liked them very much. So there you go, now you have talked to an RX8 owner who does not think the RX8 is crap. LOL.

Maybe its just something on the internet. Ive yet to hear someone badmouth an rx8 irl. I know someone who bought one first year it came out and traded it in for another when his warranty was about to run out. He liked it that much

Android Users…Should I get a Galaxy?

Hey guys

I’ve been an IPhone user since they came out, recently had a play of a friends Galaxy S3 and was really impressed.

Should I get one, or do you think the iPhone 5 is the go?

One thing got me hooked was this game a friend showed me.

then again, if there were more 7's out there they would probably still litter the side of the road as well so...

long caravans almost always result in one or 2 not making it to the destination.

Rotary engines don't like heat and that NV heat is killer. I'm sure you are right but I think that's just a numbers game. I rarely see FD's out on the road in California, but I'm sure if they were more prevalent you would see FD's stuck on the road as well. I actually seen one stuck on my way back from Vegas during the big RX7 meet weekend in Vegas.

I drive back in forth between AZ and CA fairly often and my RX8 has not given me any problems (thankful) and I honestly don't think that would be the case with my RX7.

But as I have said before they are two completely different cars, serving completely differently purposes. I <3 them both.

i just see too many problems with the renesis, having had half a dozen so far this year with bad engines just over 100k miles on them. i have 2 coming in this week for transplants alone.

mazda has been calling for diagnosis before they will even order the engines. i feel like saying "because rotary".. shop is a mess, first time in several years i have considered teaching an apprentice to keep up with work.

My friend has an 09 rx8 and he has gone through 3 engines I think. His car has less than 50k miles on it and is 100% stock. He also doesn't race it.

Hey its not the car its the people that just do not know how to take care of the motors. Weather its rx7 or rx8 if they cant handle checking fluids then they will break down time and time again. We all should know this. Here a pics for you Rotary Evolution (Ben)

Like it has been said the motors tend to give at around 100K or so. Also maybe the plastic ends tend on the radiator tend to corrode and break after a couple of years.

I beat the hell out of my 2005 rx8 and knock on wood have not had a serious problem with my baby. I love the rx7 fc and fd however I love my rx8 wouldnt trade it for anything. You must research and talk and ask questions about the cars and understand what needs to be done in order to keep the motor running good. If you know absolutely nothing about rotary motors then any rx is not for you.
