welcome to the board.
what exactly is a p plater?
anyway, to answer your question: yes. it's possible to put the MSP (or just about any other engine in a FD. your challenges will come from mounting and getting the engine to run. you can go with some custom bits and then wire up a standalone and see what you get ... OR ... you throw caution to the wind and wire up the Rx-8's EMS so that you can get all the OEM parts to work as intended. the problem with that is you will have to take a few more parts (other than just the engine and computer) from the Rx-8 itself to get it to work.
people have success putting MSPs in other cars many times over now, but I still haven't read about one that described it as easy.

thanks man and cheers that helped and a p plater is a provisional driver, when everyone gets their license in Australia they go through their learners (1 year) then their provisional one which is red p's (1 year) and the provisional two (2 years) which is green p's and then full licence. while your in your p's you can drive turbos or v8's which sucks !! so that why i asked if i could put a rx8 engine in a fd so i can drive the fd because i like that shape :p but yeah hope that clears it up :p

What are your goals? Sounds like more HP is your goal, but there are ways to squeeze more power out of an NA build that won't approach the cost to swap a renesis engine in.
