Rx7 FD start on 1 rotor, shudder in LSD
Hi guys,
im 18 and looking to buy an RX7 FD. the one I'm currently looking at has a couple of small issues. first off i haven't as of yet done a compression test but that is planned. second i got there and the rx7 hadn't been started for around 3 or so weeks. he started it (didn't take long to fire) but for the first maybe 30 secs it was only running on one rotor. it also smelt like it was running super rich and lots of smoke out the exhaust. it looked more like fuel vapor coming out the exhaust then steam and that's how it smelt too. i was thinking maybe an injector was stuck open on one of the rotors for a short period not allowing it to fire for a little bit until it started closing again? when it got both rotors running it ran fine, sounded fine idled good etc. when the diff got warm after driving for abit it seems to have a shudder coming from the LSD. only happens when warm and only happens while turning and having a bit of power down to the wheels. what are your thoughts? wrong oil? needs additive? common problem? its in Perth Western Australia, 86,000kms Red Series 8 Type R (spd Edition)??
What else do i need to look for?
thanks for the help guys hope to be an FD owner soon

Stumbling cold start could be nothing...old spark plugs and the sitting. Especially if you're confident it was just fuel being burned off. But still, I'd have the cooling system pressure tested.
Re: the differential, they're generally pretty robust unless abused. It's not common.
