I have set my mind to bridge porting my 87 tii engine when i rebuild it, what mods are recommended once this is done? I understand I will need to upgrade injectors, fuel pump, but what other mods are needed, or recommended with bridge porting an 13b s4 engine.

You're need a standalone and something larger than the stock turbo to make use of a bridgeported engine.

What is the most extreme porting job I can have and remain with a stock ecu.

You can't do a bridgeport with a stock ECU. Won't happen. You can moderately street port the thing but that's it. Making major changes to port timing will louse up how the car runs if you keep the stock computer.

My advice? Develop goals around the dream you've got for how you want the car to run and then plan the steps needed to achieve each goal. Take your time. Don't rush into it. It will cost you much more in the future.

Even if you address the timing via a cheap route, you'll still need a way to adjust mixture and control larger injectors. This is especially true since you'll have to use a larger aftermarket turbo. The stock turbo will become an exhaust restriction.

stock ecu stock afm, yes i know a aftermarket ecu will yeild much higher power but still..it did happen.

are you running a turbo on your B/P ... if so, then you will want a stand alone or you will eventually blow it up


non turbo is a different story... however you still will not get everything out of the porting with the stock ECU

A bridgeport will "run" on a stock ECU. Then again, you can also run a 4 clylinder engine on the stock ECU. So there are various definitions of "run".
