Rx7 FB SDX??

Hi all,

I just got my first RX7 and it’s a FB SDX. I just don’t know the difference because i live in europe. Is it the same as the GSL-SE? Because i understand there is also a DX? I’m pretty confused as you may notice.

thanks in advance

To be fair I'm not sure what trim levels were available in your country. You'll have to post some pictures of the car and we will be able to help you further!

Also it says in the reports it is from 1986 but wasn’t the FB’s last year of production 1985?

I think only North america got the efi 13b. I'm betting yours will be very similar in trim and spec to the UK and AU/NZ models. I'd be interested to see some pics of the interior and under the bonnet.
You definitely have the 4x114.3 stud pattern.

The european version Rx7fb lhd sold from 1984 to 1986 is your car.
12A engine 83 kw 113 PS
open diff 26 spline axle
4x114,3 mm
modern dash never was available in countries like uk, australien or japan with rhd.

That's the vin number of my german car built August 1984 the first 9 numbers must be the same as yours i think.

wow yeah you’re right it is the same. Thanks for the reply and info! It really helps! Do you have any tips on things about the car i need to rebuild/fix? I still don’t really know what to do with it because i really like high power builds on rotarys but i don’t think the fb is the right car for that kind of project. I think i could better restore the car right?

Save your tuning money giving the car a good restore first. CONTROL the bodyshell under the rear seats and protect against rust. Overhaulin the complete suspension and after that, fine justify the steering gear. Feel the fun driving a new car.

yeahh i think that would be so cool, the feeling this car gives is awesome it feels like im in the 80’s when driving it man. What do you mean by justifying the steering gear? I already tightened it a little because i had very much play in the steering but what did you mean exactly?
